VISA Go is an AI-powered event concierge app built for VISA's invite-only premium experiences (starting with FIFA). It brings together curated travel booking, hotel logistics, ticket management, and a conversational AI travel assistant into one seamless experience, letting 80K+ guests across 6 countries navigate flights, stays, and live event schedules without lifting a finger. Shipped in 6 months, it hit an 61% retention rate and has a potential to be scaled to F1 and NBA events.
The Problem
VISA wanted to invite premium guests to flagship events, starting with FIFA, and give them a seamless experience: flights, hotels, tickets, and logistics, all handled without friction.
The real problem wasn't travel booking. It was timing confusion. Event schedules shifted constantly. Guests didn't know when to leave, what changed, or what they'd missed. At 80K guests across 6 countries, that confusion doesn't stay small, it becomes thousands of support calls and a premium experience that stops feeling premium.
We had 6 months to solve this, for guests with zero tolerance for friction.
My Approach
The insight: guests didn't need more choices. They needed certainty. So instead of showing 1,000 flight options, we used a hybrid model, AI researched everything, our team curated the best of it, and design made that curation feel personal.
Three decisions shaped the product:
Real-time itinerary sync: Every schedule change updates guests within minutes, not hours.
Hybrid AI curation: AI surfaces options, humans curate quality, guests see only 3-5 choices.
Conversational AI assistant: Guests ask questions in plain language instead of searching menus.
The Solution
VISA Go shipped as four connected systems working together: real-time itinerary sync that catches schedule changes automatically, a predictive assistant that tells guests when to leave based on traffic and timing, curated travel options that cut decision-making down to minutes, and a conversational AI concierge that answers logistics questions in context.
The Impact
Support tickets dropped 60% after real-time sync launched, proof the design solved the actual problem, not just a symptom of it. Retention held at 61% through the event, well above the 45% average for event apps, because guests kept coming back for updates instead of abandoning after download.
